The use of DOTS strategy for tuberculosis treatment has not been successful, while the cases of tuberculosis multidrug resistance is increasing. We therefore require to know how far effect of family support to increase compliance in taking antituberculosis drugs. The research was observational study with cross sectional design. From the findings of the research, it was concluded that: There was family support influence to compliance rate to take anti tuberculosis drugs. The regresion ordinal analysis showing that there is a effect of family support with compliance to taking anti tuberculosis drugs. The result show value of F = 5.502 and p = 0.001 (p<0.05) and correlation coefisient r = 0.210. This indicating higher family support, also make higher compliance to taking anti tuberculosis drugs. If take more analysis, from 4 variabels of family support in this research (encouragement going to clinic, family not stayed away from sufferer, transportation support, and attention to success of medical treatment) toward compliance to taking anti tuberculosis drugs, the biggest effort variable is attention to success of medical treatment, transportation support, encouragement going to clinic, and the last family not avoid from sufferer.
