We report a female 40 years old who was diagnosed with schwannoma. Chest x-ray, computed tomography (CT) scan thorax with contrast, bronchoscopy and CT guide-transthoracic needle aspiration has been done. Tumor marker showed alpha feto protein (AFP) 2,8 IU/ml (normal 0,00-5,80 IU/ml), Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA)2,58 ng/ml (normal 0,00 – 3,40 ng/ml), Beta-subunit Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (β-HCG)<0,100 mUI/ml (normal ≤ 1 mUI/ml). Lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) 122 u/l (normal 230-460 u/l), Alkaline phosphatase 89 mUI/ml (normal 35-110 mUI/ml). The patient was sugested to explorative thoracotomy continue with
resection of all tumor. The tumor was found solid, the size was 18 x 15 x 18 cm in the pleural cavity and sticked to the upper lobe of the right lung with smooth surface and white color. Postoperative, the upper lobe was not complete expansible. Bronchoscopy was performed and mucous plug with blood clot was found obstructing the B1 segment of the upper lobe of the right lung. After cleared up, the upper lobe expanded, and the general condition of the patient bécame better.
