Profil Penderita Tuberkulosis paru di Pesisir Pantai Aceh Barat Daya (Kajian di Puskesmas Blangpidie)

Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis in Indonesia there are 583.000 cases, 140.000 deaths and 13/100.000 population represent a new patient. About 75% of TB patient are the most productive age group are economically (15-50 years) with nutrional and economic status is quite low. World TB report by the World Health Organization latest still puts Indonesia as the largest contributor to the TB number 3 in the world after India and China with a number of new cases totaled 528.000 in the years. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of patient with pulmonary tuberculosis who get outpatient treatment in puskesmas Blangpidie southwest Aceh district, Aceh Province.
The population in this study were patient diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis who get treatment at the puskesmas Blangpidie. This research is a descriptive method with cross sectional design, sample selection is by the total sampling. The sample of 37 patient with TB. The data will be analyzed using univariate analysis.
Results univariate analysis with 6 variables as factors wich closeness of the relationship with pulmonary TB patients who get outpatient at the puskesmas Blangpidie. Age (28 men with age 15-54 years 75,68%), sex (21 males 56,70%), education (14 person with highest education level of junior high 37,84%), income (20 people with low socioeconomic 54,05%), nutritional status (26 people with poor nutrition 70,27%), knowledge (24 people with poor knowledge 64,86%).
